Over the weekend Joe Klein opined that certain critics of Barack I bordering on sedition, which he defined as "language or conduct inciting rebellion against the authority of the state." For more details, see:
I presume Mr. Klein has never read these words:
That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.
This language comes, of course, from our own Declaration of Independence. I wonder whether Mr. Klein has ever read it.
